Kara is the Associate Director, Global Safety and Security. She is responsible for maintaining and coordinating a comprehensive response and approach to international safety for Princeton. Kara joins the University most recently from Arcadia University where she served as the Assistant Director of Health, Safety, and Security at the College of Global Studies. Kara previously worked in global operations and risk analysis at the Pennsylvania State University and in operational roles at International SOS. Kara brings deep expertise in responding to crises and emergencies abroad, monitoring global events and activities that might impact travelers, preparing and advising students and scholars for international travel, and navigating federal regulations including Clery and Title IX in an overseas context. She is a national leader in travel risk management and serves on the executive committee of her national professional organization (PULSE: Higher Education Health, Safety, and Security Professionals) as well as a committed member of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC). Kara holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Arcadia University.
