
Amanda Kastern
Amanda Kastern joined the Office of the Provost in May 2024. As senior manager of administrative operations, Amanda manages the coordinated, day-to-day operations of the Office of the Provost and leads and implements projects that enhance the unit’s operational effectiveness and strategic priorities. Prior to joining the Office of the Provost, Amanda was senior manager of finance and administration in Princeton’s Department of Politics from 2012 to 2024. Amanda has served the University through her membership on various committees, including the Prospect House Advisory Board (2014-2018) and the Academic Managers' Group Steering Committee (2016-2019), where she served as co-chair in 2018-2019. Before arriving at Princeton, Amanda was associate vice president of enrollment services at Harford Community College in Maryland, where she provided oversight and leadership for admissions, financial aid, registration and records, and veterans services. Amanda holds a B.A. in political science, philosophy and writing-intensive English from Marquette University, an M.P.A. from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and an Ed.D. in higher education administration from The George Washington University.
